Very nice 28"long strand of blue-and-white Trade Beads found near Muskogee Elmore County Alabama. From a village site with documented Spanish contact that existed from the 1500s through 1814. It was destroyed in April 1814 during the Creek uprisings. The villas site was reoccupied and these beads dates the late trade. Coming from one of the post 1814 occupations. From the well-known Peter Brandon collection. These are some of the last beads found by Peter Brandon to be sold as they were found in a shoebox in a closet in Montgomery Alabama by his son and daughter-in-law .
