Sale highlight! Exceptional 4" x 1 1/8" Topknot Birdstone made from green Banded Slate with nice mineral deposits on surface. Found in Oxford Co., Ontario, Canada in 1918 by Jim Connely. Ex. Earl Townsend, Archie Diller collections. Pictured in "Who's Who" #2, pages 56 & 57. Townsend purchased this birdstone on June 20, 1985 at Painters Creek Auction. Sold as lot number 124 in the first Townsend sale on 06/23/2012. From the collection of Frank Foremny.
