Sale Highlight! Very rare artifact type! Offered here is an Ex. Meuser 4 1/16" scooped Boatstone that was anciently salvaged from a Bannerstone made from nicely banded glacial slate. Surface has multiple etchings/carvings on both sides and top. Found in Putnam County Ohio 3 miles southwest of Gilboa. this was sold through Garth's auction as lot number 1384 on December 8 1974 and was bought by Steve Olenick. Steve sold it to Fred Fisher at an artifact society meeting on December 3 1978. Fred Fisher sold it to Len Weidner who then sold it back to Steve Olenick who had it pictured in Who's Who #9 page 94. It is also pictured in Converse's Meuser book page 169. A line drawing from the Meuser catalog page is also included with this artifact.
