Very rare stone adze handle found near the Columbia River by Lynn Woodcock.

Very rare stone adze handle found near the Columbia River by Lynn Woodcock. This is an ancient tool for wood working pecked out of basalt it measures 7 5/8" in length. There were 2 of these adze handles in the extensive Woodcock Collection. Lynn was a founding member of the Oregon Archaeological Society in 1951.
