Sale Highlight! Truly incredible design on this 3 3/8" long x 2" tall Bird Effigy Pipe found near the Genesee River, New York. Some restoration to back of pipe around the rear perforation area coming up to the back part of the bowl. One very small spot of restoration to the front part of the bowl above the beak. Beak and eyes, bottom and interior of bowl are original. Exceptional secondary engraving to both sides and top of beak. This truly is a wonderful example of Pre-Historic - Proto-Historic art.
