Unique! 1 1/4" Stone Disc Pipe. This is a rare type of pipe for the Columbia River. Of local manufacture similar examples were noted in the Ernest Cowles and Tom Gerity Columbia River collections. Described in the January 1961 Oregon Archaeological Society newsletter Screenings by Tom Gerity: This type of pipe is rare in collections from the mid-Columbia although several have been described from the general area. Others are illustrated in 'The Archaeology of the Yakima Valley' by Harlan I. Smith American Museum of Natural History anthropological papers 1910 .
