
Large and well flaked 6" long Bi-pointed knife with great history, OR
Large and well flaked 6" long Bi-pointed knife found by Ivan Brockamp on the ranch owned by Reuben A. “Reub” Long (1898-1974) located in Fort Rock Valley Lake County Oregon. The Reub Long Ranch originally included the world famous Fort Rock Cave where in 1938 archeologist Luther Cressman discovered dozens of old sagebrush sandals that dated to more than 9000 years old. Reub Long was an Oregon legend as an Eastern Oregon rancher and cowboy philosopher. He co-authored the classic book “The Oregon Desert” with E.R. Jackman in 1964. Bi-pointed knives were used for many thousands of years in the Great Basin area according to Dewey Dietz. Comes with a Stermer COA.
