3 1/4" by 2 1/4" unique Columbia River decorated Paint Pot . This is a very nicely designed small bowl fashioned from red lava stone and decorated with a series of incised lines around the rim and the base. It also features birdlike forms cut into relief in a band around the middle of the bowl. The base of the bowl is pecked to be slightly concave. This unique piece was found by Dewey Schmidt in the early 1950s along the mid Columbia River. Dewey joined the O. A. S. shortly after it was formed in 1951.
